Scythe Robotics is seeking a driven and results-oriented Technical Recruiter to join our People Operations team and help us grow the future of robotics. At Scythe, we're pioneering all-electric, autonomous outdoor equipment to revolutionize the landscaping industry and beyond.
In this role, you will leverage your sourcing expertise to identify top tech talent, build strong pipelines, and engage both active and passive candidates. You will partner closely with hiring managers to ensure we attract and hire diverse, high-performing individuals who align with our mission.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years Talent Acquisition experience, ideally in robotics, automation, or manufacturing environments. You are a strategic talent partner with strong business acumen, expert-level sourcing skills, and a passion for connecting people to purpose.
This position is based in Longmont, CO and requires being onsite full-time.
What you'll do at Scythe
- Utilize full-cycle recruitment processes including sourcing resumes/candidates, conducting phone interviews, providing candidate recommendations, guiding selection processes, extending offers, initiating background checks and managing candidate negotiations.
- Implement innovative and creative sourcing techniques to proactively develop a robust pool of passive and active candidates
- Provide a consultative and strategic approach to identifying and selecting the very best talent to maximize productivity and efficiency at all levels of the organization
- Partner with leaders across the organization to understand hiring needs, facilitate ongoing hiding discussions, drive the recruiting process, and support strategic team growth.
- Provide a high-touch, thoughtful candidate experience that reflects our culture and values.
- Track, analyze, and report recruiting metrics to inform hiring strategies and improve processes.
- Manage a range of business-critical roles across multiple departments, (engineering, field operations, customer, sales, etc) navigating competing priorities and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
What you know well
- Recruiting top engineering talent across various disciplines, including Software, Hardware, Production, Sales, Customer and Field Operations.
- Recruiting and sourcing for robotics, automation, or manufacturing companies (Minimum 3 years)
- Sourcing technical skillsets by leveraging various sourcing channels, LinkedIn Recruiter, and Applicant Tracking Systems
- Knowledge of Boolean search strings and targeting hard-to-fill positions
- Working in a fast-paced and highly collaborative startup environment
- Executing a recruiting strategy, including diversity sourcing and interview process management
- Ability to prioritize, push back, and demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, all while being highly customer focused and collaborative
- Experience in fast paced environments, with the ability to quickly adapt and make an immediate impact.
What you've maybe done
- Demonstrated expertise in non-standard recruiting methods: cold calling candidates and companies, organizing and executing ad hoc networking events, identifying industry experts and finding unique methods to engage with them, creating unique targeted sourcing campaigns, etc.
- Built strategic partnerships with selected educational institutions and universities to attract quality candidates and increase community engagement
- Leveraged social media platforms to tap into new pools of candidates, adapting sourcing and recruiting strategies based on the business unit and positions to be filled
- Created and deployed a strategy to diversify and broaden an organization's talent pipeline to attract and recruit diverse candidates
- Supported talent operations and reporting, providing real-time updates to stakeholders on hiring progress, pipelines, and challenges
- Supported onboarding of new hires by coordinating pre-start logistics, communicating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring a smooth candidate-to-employee transition

Scythe is a total compensation company, which provides employees a comprehensive salary, equity, and benefit package. However, only the minimum salary amounts are listed here. Scythe carefully considers various compensation factors, including education, years of experience, competencies, and other relevant business considerations. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary along with your compensation mode preferences. The Technical Recruiter position has an expected minimum annual cash salary of $70,000. The actual pay may be higher depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Equity and benefits packages are NOT included in this estimate.
