Opportunity Overview
The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) is a new agency within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). It is a research funding agency that supports transformative biomedical and health breakthroughs to provide health solutions for all. ARPA-H accelerates better health outcomes for everyone by supporting the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems. These opportunities will advance high-potential, high-impact biomedical and health research that cannot be readily accomplished through traditional research or commercial activity. SD Solutions is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Action Officer to join our innovative team. The Action Officer will play a critical role in advancing high-impact health research initiatives and facilitate the translation of transformative ideas into tangible outcomes that benefit public health at ARPA-H.
Responsibilities Include
- Collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders to define project goals, objectives , and timelines.
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics, ensuring alignment with ARPA-H's strategic vision .
- Conduct comprehensive research on emerging health trends, technologies, and practices to inform project development.
- Analyze data and compile findings to support decision-making processes and provide recommendations for action.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and briefings to senior leadership and stakeholders .
- Build and maintain strong relationships with federal agencies, academic institutions, industry partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Facilitate collaboration and communication among cross-functional teams, ensuring stakeholder alignment and engagement.
- Represent ARPA-H at external meetings, conferences, and workshops, promoting agency initiatives and priorities .
- Assist in the identification and evaluation of funding opportunities to support ARPA-H initiatives.
- Oversee grant application processes, ensuring compliance with ARPA-H guidelines and federal regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate funded projects, providing regular updates on progress and outcomes .
- Contribute to the development of policies and strategies that promote innovation in health research and technology development.
- Advocate for ARPA-H initiatives within the broader health research community, emphasizing their potential impact on public health .
Requirements Overview
Prefer at least 1 year experience supporting DARPA or related Federal "ARPA" agencies (IARPA, ARPA-E, ARPA-H, HSARPA).
