Opportunity Overview
SD Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Clinical Monitoring and Diagnostic Systems or as a Multidisciplinary Scientist in Obstetrics. As a leading agency in health innovation, ARPA-H focuses on creating breakthrough technologies and methodologies to advance the health of the nation. The researcher will play a critical role in driving this mission forward. The successful applicant will provide technical support to an ARPA-H Program Manager. This researcher will apply their expertise to help conceptualize, create, and execute government funded research and development (R&D) programs for cutting-edge solutions that address complex health challenges faced by our nation.
The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) is a new agency within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). It is a research funding agency that supports transformative biomedical and health breakthroughs to provide health solutions for all. ARPA-H accelerates better health outcomes for everyone by supporting the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems. These opportunities will advance high-potential, high-impact biomedical and health research that cannot be readily accomplished through traditional research or commercial activity. With a scope spanning the molecular to the societal, these programs have the potential to radically improve everyone's health."
Responsibilities Include but are limited to :
- Contribute to a multidisciplinary team developing breakthrough technologies and therapeutics related to obstetrics care.
- Provide subject matter expertise in medical devices for monitoring vital signs, fetal monitoring, and development of therapeutics for maternal health.
- Evaluate technical proposals for scientific merit and innovation. Provide feedback, organize reviewer comments, draft recommendations and project summaries, and presentation materials.
- Perform market and regulatory analyses, technical due diligence, literature reviews and generate briefing documents summarizing technical topics related to the development of new medical devices and pharmacotherapies care for fetuses and pregnant patients.
- Develop technical and administrative programmatic documentation on short timelines to communicate technical approach, progress, cost, schedule and risk for advanced technology development efforts.
