Job Description

The Web Developer I is responsible for designing, coding, and maintaining websites--from layout to function--according to the project's specifications. Create visually appealing pages that feature user-friendly design as well as clear navigation based on mockups for mobile and desktop while following proper coding structure and implementing efficient code using company standards.

Job Duties

• Create web applications that are cross-browser compatible
• Stay up-to-date on current and emerging technologies, standards, and trends
• Write well designed, testable, and efficient code by using best software development practices
• Learn through research
• Follow our internal processes for web projects
• Write code to follow security principles, eliminating backdoors to prevent sql injection, and other attacks
• Work with team members to complete assigned tasks
• Responsible for following standard of work
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
• Handle minor and moderate bug fixes
• Review through code and look for potential issues and improvements
• Assisting other web developers as needed
• Complete tasks with moderate project assistance from other team members
• Other duties as assigned.

• Understand how to retrieve information from a database
• Understands and follows coding standards

Minimum Requirements

Education

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree
• Associates Degree, preferred

Experience

• up to 1 year of programming experience in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, MySQL, and CSS
• Code samples / portfolio projects to demonstrate competency in various languages

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.
