Job Description:
The Lead Stationary Engineer is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of all building systems and equipment during their assigned shift. They will work closely with other members of the engineering team to ensure that all systems are functioning properly and that any issues are addressed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of all building systems and equipment, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems
- Respond to emergency situations and take appropriate action to resolve issues
- Coordinate with other members of the engineering team to ensure that all systems are functioning properly
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities
- Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid DC 3rd Class or other equivalent jurisdictional license
- CFC Certification required
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar role
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
