South Dakota School of Mines & Technology is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing, Ticket sales, and Revenue generation. This position will be responsible for the direct oversight and management of athletic marketing, ticket sales and the Hardrocker Athletic Online Auction. The position will work cohesively with all members of the athletic department but specifically with Athletic Communications and The Hardrock Club to promote Hardrocker Athletics through local, regional, and national opportunities. This position will be responsible for:Marketing – Overall promotion of Hardrocker Athletics and our athletes locally, regionally, and nationally through traditional and relevant marketing avenues.Ticket and Ramps Sales – marketing, and growth through pre-season, annual and day of.Corporate sponsorship opportunities- maintain current inventory, develop a plan to generate new partnerships, with strategic growth, making sure the sponsor and the athletic departments needs are being met.Hardrocker Athletic Online Auction – facilitation of a successful, profitable auction designed to generate revenue for Hardrocker Athletic Scholarships.Other assigned duties by the Athletic Director.Candidate requirements include a bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, mass communications, or related field.South Dakota Mines is a best-in-class STEM university that offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees located in Rapid City, the state’s second largest city with a MSA population of 148,933.
