South Dakota Mines is seeking qualified candidates for the Assistant Men’s and Women’s Golf Coaching position. The Assistant Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach is a part-time position that will assist the Director of Golf in all aspects of running successful NCAA D-II Golf programs. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:Instruction of student-athletes in individual skill development, technique, and strategy.Recruitment of student-athletes, including on-campus visits of prospective student-athletes.Provide academic development, time management and life skills instructions.Assist Director with practice facility maintenance, decision making processes, scheduling, recruiting, and practice.Promote the philosophy and objectives of Hardrocker Athletics, to include adhering to all Departmental policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the RMAC and the NCAA.Work expectations will be heaviest during the following months: September, October, March, April. This position will work for the time periods September through April and is off for the time period of May through August.The successful candidate will possess a two-year college or technical degree. Experience in golf as an athlete or coach is preferred.
