HVAC and Plumbing Lead

USD Operations and Maintenance within the Facilities Management department is seeking an experienced and qualified HVAC and Plumbing Lead. This position is responsible for coordinating and supervising the repair and maintenance of all HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and building automation (BAS) systems on the USD campus in Vermillion, SD.This position would supervise and lead staff who complete the maintenance and repair of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and BAS systems on the campus. This position would be responsible for the day-to-day operations of this staff. This would include, but not be limited to, triaging incoming work requests, assigning work to technicians, working with contractors as needed, reviewing and completing finished work orders, and ordering parts and equipment, etc. This position would potentially review and inspect all work, manage and supervise staff, coordinate work with other departments, and provide service to campus customers.Required QualificationsSkills to independently analyze an issue, identify the proper course of action, and ultimately supervise the repairs needed to rectify the issue.Experience managing people and day-to-day operations.Proactive, responsible, reliable, and capable.Skill in both verbal and written communication.Organized and have strong attention to details.Able to work in a fast paced environment.Ability to work in various environments (including indoors and outdoors).Preferred Qualifications:Experience with operation, installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and BAS systems.Application ProcedurePlease apply online at https://yourfuture.sdbor.edu/postings/36423.
