Housing and Residential Life at South Dakota State University (SDSU) is seeking a University Apartments and Summer Operations Coordinator to join our team! The coordinator will have oversight of the university apartments including promotion materials, events and contracts, including student summer housing occupancy and assignments, and summer camps and conferences. This position is located in Brookings, South Dakota and is a 12 month, full-time, benefit-eligible position. This position will also manage the total operation of summer camps and conference operations and assume responsibility for long range planning and implementing organizational goals in line with the goals of the Department of Housing & Residential Life, the Division of Student Affairs, and South Dakota State University.BENEFITS:South Dakota State University offers a wide range of excellent benefits including medical, dental, and flexible benefits, retirement plans, compensation packages, paid holidays, and vacation leave. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A completed Bachelor’s degree by start date;Property management, facility management, or housing and residential life experience;At least one year of supervision experience;At least one year of camps/conference management, event management, or hospitality management experience;Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences;Excellent oral and written communication skills;Demonstrated organizational and time management skills;Strong interpersonal skills; andAbility to work as a contributing team member.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:At least two years’ of experience with leasing/property/facility management OR in Housing and Residential Life;Experience with billing, invoicing, and contract management;Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain internal and external relationships with key partners; andPrevious marketing experience.APPLICATION PROCESS:This system will guide you through the electronic application form.
