Salesforce Solution Architect/Software Developer

Purpose:

• The Solutions Architect (SA) is tasked with working as a key member of our project team to ensure smooth and efficient implementation and integration between technical and functional system requirements and creating a solution that best meets our operational needs.

Job Duties:

• Guide operations and implementation team through the implementation of Salesforce Field Service solutions using best practices

• Understand desired business outcomes and define success criteria

• Articulate to executive stakeholders the value of recommended solutions and approach

• Lead discovery and requirements refinement sessions to uncover business, functional, and technological requirements

• Perform fit-gap analysis between Salesforce functionality and internal requirements

• Document business requirements as part of the Technical Design Document in collaboration with other implementation stakeholders

• Manage the delivery and testing of the functionality of implemented systems

• Iterate on solutions through a Build/Test/Review cycle with pertinent business unit

• Develop training curriculum and deliver training sessions to the solution’s end users

• Work with a Project Manager to manage a project to scope, budget, and timeline expectations

• Working knowledge of Salesforce releases to maintain most up to date systems

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience with setting up SFS data models (Work Orders, Service Appointments, Service Resources, Territories, Time Keeping etc)

• Ability to configure Service Rules and Objectives in support of Field Service business processes

• Experience installing SFS managed package and guided setup configuration

• Strong experience with business process definition, best practices, and reengineering

• Documented proficiency in writing user stories to capture Salesforce requirements

• Knowledgeable with data migrations from third-party systems to Salesforce

• Experience building Salesforce integrations with 3rd party applications - Sage 300 CRE, Salesforce Integrator, and Windows PowerShell.

• Solid understanding of the key levers for B2B, B2C, hybrid business models

• Understanding of key concepts of user-centered design and design thinking

• Desire to continue to grow their knowledge inside the Salesforce ecosystem

• Strong individual contributor with great teamwork and collaboration skills

• Consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues

• Knowledge of Salesforce environment platforms and features including Conga, Youreka, Apex Coding, and Flows

• Understanding of logic to configure platforms in formats compatible with desired reporting outputs

Education:

• BA/BS degree in Business, Computer Science or Engineering – or equivalent work experience; MBA preferred

Certifications:

• Certified Salesforce Field Service Consultant, SF Admin, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant – Required

• Experience Cloud Consultant; CPQ Specialist; Platform App Builder; Platform Developer 1, Youreka Architect - Preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to be physically seated for long periods of time in a standard issue desk chair

• Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week including weekend assignments when required

• Ability to visually tolerate prolonged exposure to computer screens, mobile device (phones, tablets, etc.) screens

• Ability to read documents and materials in hard and soft copy form (either naturally or with corrective lenses)

• Ability to walk, step, climb stairs to access or otherwise move from one location to another which normally involves walking within and around locations and when required to climb and descend stairs to access areas as required

• Ability to visually see well (either naturally or with corrective lenses)

• Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, squat, climb, and sit for long periods of time

• Ability to occasionally work outdoors in all-weather conditions

Experience:

• Field Service Consultant, Service Cloud, at least 5 Implementations in Solution Architect role.

• 3-5 years’ experience within the Salesforce ecosystem

• C and/or Python – desired but not required

Travel:

• Travel to field locations and standalone business unit offices, as required.
