What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at SDK Apartments?
SDK Village Green, LLC., a premier apartment community located in Budd Lake, NJ is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for routine grounds and building maintenance, as well as fulfilling all repair service requests for residents and apartments make-ready orders. Responsibilities:
- Grounds maintenance, snow removal, trash removal and cleaning
- Institute and manage resident service requests and work orders, correcting the situation within 24 hours when possible
- Assess and repair issues including electrical, plumbing, appliances, painting, minor tile work, carpentry.
- Ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed correctly and on schedule.
- On-call maintenance and handling resident emergencies after hours
- Must be able to lift and be able to install appliances
- Understanding of HVAC systems and repairs
Qualifications:
- Experience in Maintenance
- Must be able to perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, locksmithing, painting, dry-wall repair, and snow removal
- Maintain accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, service requests, apartment make-ready status, and work in progress items
- preferred
- Must be available to handle on-call emergency services on an as-needed basis
- Must have valid driver's license with reliable transportation
