Job Title: Biomedical Equipment Technician
Location: Aurora, CO
Length of Assignment: 3 months with high possibility of extension
Shift: Mon-Fri (8 hours)
Job Details:
- Learns to inspect and test malfunctioning medical or related equipment, following the direction of senior biomedical equipment technicians and manufacturers' specifications and using test and analysis instruments.
- Learns to test or calibrate components or equipment, following the direction of senior biomedical equipment technicians and manufacturers' manuals and troubleshooting techniques, using hand tools, power tools, or measuring devices.
- Learns to performs repairs and regularly scheduled preventive maintenance on medical equipment for adherence to safety and performance standards.
- Keeps records of maintenance, repair, and required updates of equipment. Documents inspections, repairs and other technical activities per department policies and standards of practice.
- Performs preventive maintenance or service, such as cleaning, lubricating, or adjusting equipment.
- Tests, evaluates, and classifies excess or in-use medical equipment and determine serviceability, condition, and disposition, in accordance with regulations.
