Audit Manager
Boston-based assurance, advisory, and accounting firm is looking to hire a Manager of Audit and Assurance into their financial services practice.
Ideal candidates will have progressive audit experience in public accounting with clients in the asset management/financial services industries, currently hold an active CPA license, and expert knowledge of GAAP, SEC internal controls, and research procedures.

Overview of Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute financial statement audits for a variety of clients in the asset management space
- Collaborate with engagement partners and managers to plan audit engagements, assess risk, and establish audit objectives and procedures.
- Oversee junior auditors, provide structure on engagements and mentorship
- Perform detailed audit testing, evaluate internal controls, and assess financial reporting accuracy to identify potential areas of improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports and communicate findings to clients in a clear and concise manner.
- Develop strong client relationships, providing expert advice on accounting, financial reporting, and compliance matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; MSA or advanced degree preferred
- CPA certification
- 6 years of progressive audit experience in public accounting
- Thorough understanding of GAAP, GAAS, PCAOB and SEC standards
- Strong Excel experience
- Proven leadership abilities, with a passion for mentoring and guiding team members
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
