What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Tax Associate position at SDL Search Partners?
Global private equity firm is hiring a Senior Tax Associate in their downtown Boston office. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of tax experience specific to partnerships, asset management, financial services, etc.
The team is doing a hybrid schedule 3 days/week in the downtown Boston office and offers excellent total compensation including bonus, 401k contributions, profit sharing, comprehensive benefits, merit-based promotions, and growth potential.
The Role:
- Review tax workpapers and file tax returns, withholdings, and extensions as required
- Prepare 1099, 1065, and Schedule K-1 and K-3 documents
- Prepare management company partnership estimates for individual quarterly reporting
- Prepare non-income tax related filings such as sales and use and property tax returns
- Support entities in the US as well as several international entities
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax filing obligations and coordinating related payments
- Coordinate with internal teams and outside advisors to complete global corporate income tax returns and estimates
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in related field required
- Further education and/or certifications preferred
- 2 years of tax experience; public accounting and/or Big 4 experience preferred
- Experience with partnership tax issues, tax compliance, tax advisory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- A curiosity for learning new tax considerations and a commitment to honing your skills
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and time management abilities
