- Position Purpose: Support LAS operations through the proper organization, cataloguing, and registering of customer samples and effective coordination of assigned projects in a collaborative environment. Registration of customer samples in a way that is safe, accurate, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize samples according to test(s) requested.
- Process sales order registration activities through data systems at Registration workstations.
- Solve problems associated with customer and field technician samples.
- Deliver samples to appropriate areas based on priorities.
- Work with sales to prepare paperwork according to sales agreement.
- Keep workstations clean and organized.
- Investigate and provide feedback to lab management on sampling, packaging, shipping, and sales order errors and discrepancies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of lab processes and procedures
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to work independently
- Reliable in both being on time and performing tasks
- Possess creativity, innovativeness, and strong initiative
- Strong relationship building skills
- Must possess and display a high level of integrity
- Possess basic math skills
Work Conditions:
- Most of the work for this position is conducted indoors, in a laboratory environment with potential non-toxic dust, fumes, noise or other conditions commonly present in an industrial/manufacturing type facility with PPE requirements (no clean room)
- Occasional handling of regulated and hazardous materials and other chemicals
Physical Demands:
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch throughout the workday
- Ability to perform work at workstation for extended periods
- Ability to lift materials/objects weighing up to 30 pounds
- Ability to work 8-hour shift/5 days per week and 10-hour shifts as needed for overtime
- Ability to work mandatory overtime as required to address peak workload
- Ability to see clearly and make distinction between different colored materials
