Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. This role is essential in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems, including security systems, fire alarms, and telecommunications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and have experience working with various tools and technologies.
Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems such as CCTV, fire alarms, and intrusion detection systems (IDS).
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret schematics to facilitate accurate installation and repair of systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations and repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on system operations as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.
Experience
- Proven experience in low voltage system installation or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems, telecommunication setups, security systems, fire alarms, and IDS is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with computer hardware effectively.
- Proficient in reading schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
