Must be at least 21 years old

Restaurant experience preferred

Primary Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)
Use our approach to Customer Service with every interaction
Greet and deliver food/beverages to Customers at the proper table, at the proper time, quickly, efficiently and in a friendly manner
Work well with all staff members and with great communication skills in English
Interact with customers and vendors using Saginaw’s Service System
Follow our approach to customer service - every time.
Answer questions and educate guests about the history of Saginaw’s Delicatessen
Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality. Make recommendations for maintenance, repair and upkeep
Ensure tables, chairs, displays, counters, sinks, utensils, shelving and storage areas are clean, orderly, and complies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards at all times. Clean spills, re-stock and wipe down tables, chairs, sweep floors etc.
Clear and sanitize tables and bring all dirty dishes and utensils to the kitchen for cleaning.
Stock supplies such as napkins, utensils and other supplies

The ability to work in an environment that may be unusually hot, cold, noisy and may contain second-hand smoke
Proven problem-solving abilities
Exceptional customer service to everyone
The ability to stand and walk around a restaurant for 8-10 hours as well as bend, stoop, and raise arms above head on occasion
The ability to lift 50 pounds and carry heavy trays
The availability to work nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays
Finger/hand dexterity to operate restaurant equipment, knives, etc.
Must possess hearing, visual and sensory abilities to observe and detect emergency situations; also to distinguish product, taste, texture, temperature, presentation and preparation.
