Marine Piling Crew – Deck Hand
COMPENSATION
- 16-25$ per hour depending on Experience
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Additional duties may be assigned.
- Work with Project staff to develop and maintain the Project Schedule.
- Help build batter boards and layout piling locations using drawings and survey staking
- Use wash pump to set pilings, guide Piling to hole
- Correct any issues that may be found during quality control
- Collaborates with Project Team, client, inspectors, etc. to isolate problems and assist in developing solutions to problems.
- Execute field operations within all Federal, State, and local environmental rules and regulations.
- Maintain a high standard of ethical behavior, encourages ethical behavior in others, supports ethical decisions and actively seeks appropriate resolution to potential ethical conflicts.
- Responsible for practicing safe work standards and promoting an Incident and Injury Free work environment as a condition of employment.
Qualifications:
- Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
- Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending or kneeling
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Previous Piling installation work or marine construction is preferable
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Position is a field position and will require the ability to endure the natural environment. You must be able to wear the personal protective equipment (PPE) required of various construction work environments (hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, safety-toed shoes, etc.). The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
Must be a proficient swimmer
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
