What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tug Boat Captain position at Sea Level Construction?
Tug Boat Captain
Qualifications:
- 5 years total experience in a Captain role.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- This position requires fluent use of the verbal and written English language.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
- Strong knowledge of industry related software.
Required Certifications or Licenses:
- Merchant Mariners Credentials (MMC)
- Master of Towing endorsement
- TWIC
- CPR/AED First Aid Certification
- Valid Driver’s license
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with company’s Safety Management System (SMS), customer requirements, and all regulatory agencies.
- Ensure safe work environment by leading by example and guiding Crew Members based on federal guidelines, USCG CFR, and company SMS..
- Performs the maintenance repair program for vessels and/or ensures the program is being followed.
- Assist with project pre-voyage plans and logistics.
- Perform other duties or task as required based on company’s needs.
Shift:
14 days on/14 days off, flexible schedule and rotation
Pay:
From $500.00 per day
