Qualifications & Experience:About the Role
As an Animal Welfare Host, you’ll assist our expert Aquarists in the day-to-day care of our marine and freshwater exhibits . Your duties will include everything from diet preparation to animal handling, snorkeling, and even tending dives! You’ll be part of a high-performing team that delivers world-class safety standards, guest service, and cleanliness. Your role will ensure our animals stay happy and healthy, and our guests have an unforgettable experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for aquatic and terrestrial animals , including diet prep, feeding, and exhibit maintenance.
- Maintain detailed records of animal health, exhibit care, and water quality analysis .
- Interact with guests during public animal feeds, creating magical moments for them .
- Assist in dive operations and work closely with the Displays team to ensure the best care for our animals .
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for both animals and guests .

Help develop and improve the Displays areas as we continue to grow and evolve our exhibits ️.
About You
We’re looking for someone who loves animals and is excited to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment! If you’re passionate, reliable, and adaptable, we want to meet you!
Key Qualifications:
- Comfortable working with a variety of animals, from sharks and stingrays to turtles and fish .
- Able to lift 30 lbs and maintain a clean, organized workspace .
- Great at multitasking and following directions with attention to detail .
- Customer-service oriented with a friendly, approachable attitude towards guests .
- Ready to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment .
- Must be at least 16 years old to apply .
Preferred Qualifications:
- SCUBA Open Water Certification .
- Experience in an AZA-accredited facility .
- Knowledge of water quality and the nitrogen cycle .
