What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resort Front Desk Attendant position at Sea Mist Resort?
Tired of double shifts, huge stations, extra side work, and getting stiffed because they 86’d chicken wings? Are you done with winter layoffs because your hotel or resort closes? Had enough of shifts being cut in retail? We may the job you are looking for! We are searching for a person with customer service experience to join our Front Desk Team at the Sea Mist Resort, a 90-condo unit Timeshare Resort. We are trying to fill a position of 40 (plus occasional overtime) hours that entails nights, days, weekends and holidays. We consider 30 hours full time as it applies to benefits, such as health and dental insurance, 401K, vacation time, paid holidays and personal time. There are also travel benefits to other resorts, both nationally and internationally. Our many long-term employees are a testament to a fun and caring workplace.
Duties include, but are not limited to;
- Checking in and out our guests and owners
- Answering phones
- Answering questions and making suggestions to guests for fun activities and sightseeing
- Taking reservations via phone or over the desk
- Assist guest with any questions, problems or concerns and be able to communicate any unknown situations to the proper department or person.
- Effectively deal with guest problems in the absence of supervisory staff members, and to resolve unusual or difficult situations to the guests’ satisfaction.
- Working with Timeshare Owners to understand their Ownership and Usage
- Handle credit cards and money.
- Knowledge and enforcement of Resort Rules and Policies as they apply to guests and owners.
Skills we are looking for
- Computer knowledge and ability. (You will be trained on our system)
- Ability to communicate clearly to others
- Local knowledge of Cape Cod and other areas of Southern New England and Boston
Starting pay is $19 to $21 per hour, depending on experience.
