Job Summary :
The Overnight Services and Security Coordinator are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests and property during nighttime hours.
This role combines security duties with guest services, including handling guest requests, performing deliveries, and providing operational support to various departments as needed.
Qualification Summary :
Experience and Education :
High school diploma, GED or equivalent
Experience in customer service, forward-facing, or other guest related positions
Previous experience in loss prevention or other similar r oles
Basic computer applications
Physical : Frequent standing, sitting and moving about the facilities.
Handling objects, products and equipment.
Using keyboards and other office computer equipment.
Occasionally push, pull and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
Must observe details at close range.
Other : Must speak English.
Must have e xcellent written and oral communication skills.
Mathematical skills include basic math.
Problem solving, reasoning, and ability to multi-task and interact with people under pressure.
Ability to remain calm ad professional in emergency situations.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Monitor and patrol the premises to prevent theft, vandalism, and ensure the safety of guests and staff.
- Act as the integrated communications role between the resort employees and local authorities, engaging with security, police, fire and life safety organizations regularly.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, or disturbances, coordinating with local authorities when necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of doors, windows, and common areas to ensure they are secure.
- Assist the Guest Services team with late check-ins and early check-outs, providing a welcoming experience for guests.
- Assist Guest Services for guest requests and inquiries during overnight hours, including room service deliveries and providing information about resort amenities.
- Deliver items to guest rooms as requested, such as extra linens, toiletries, or food and beverage orders.
- Engage with all departments, including Kitchen, Restaurant and Banquet operations when open and servicing guests and events in late evening hours.
- Resolves customer issues, complaints, and problems in a quick, efficient manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service
- Builds strong relationships and coordinates with all other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, etc.)
- Collaborate with Guest Services, Housekeeping, F&B and Maintenance teams to address any issues that arise during the night.
- Assist in setting up or breaking down event spaces as needed for functions occurring the next day.
- Perform light maintenance tasks or report issues to the appropriate department for resolution.
- Maintain the Daily Resort Overnight Activity logs of incidents, guest requests, and maintenance activities during the shift.
- Ensure proper documentation of any security or safety incidents, following resort protocols.
- Communicate effectively with daytime staff to relay important information and ensure continuity of service.
- Assists all departments in servicing the guests especially during high volume periods
- Attends meetings as required
- Any and all other duties as assigned
Organizational Structure :
This position reports directly to the Operations Manager or Manager on Duty.
