Sea View Senior Living located in Brookings, OR is seeking a passionate and strong customer-oriented Resident Care Coordinator. The Resident Care Coordinator ensures the quality care of all residents. This position works closely with the second Resident Care Coordinator and with all the department heads in order to provide a continued quality of care to the residents. The position requires an understanding and a commitment to the principals and values of the Community, including experience related to the progression of dementia. The Resident Care Coordinator must be able to communicate well with their partner, be flexible and creative, but also have good time management skills and the ability to lead by setting a good example. This position also requires a person who can provide training and follow up to ensure the continuity and quality of care continues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
General management responsibilities include, but are not limited to overseeing and accepting the final accountability for the following either directly or through designated staff:
- Become proficient in the service plan program, gathering the necessary information on the care needs of the resident prior to the service plan meeting and then being prepared to present any changes to the service plan to the resident and family members.
- Responsible for the over-site of ordering supplies and medical equipment as needed.
- Assist the Wellness Director with the tracking of incident reports and investigations.
- Ensure that staffing levels remain within established and approved budgetary and staffing guidelines.
- Fill in as a Medication Tech and Caregiver as needed.
- On Call every other week in conjunction with the other Resident Care Coordinator.
Required Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent or minimum education required per state.
- Combined experience in supervising, training and mentoring staff as well as medication administration and care giving experience in a senior living environment is preferred.
- Training available for qualified candidates.
- Must be able to speak English proficiently.
