Job Overview
The Maintenance Specialist plays a key role in performing advanced technical tasks at a journeyman level in the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, service, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, fixtures, and related electro-mechanical systems. This position involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment, as well as calibrating instruments to meet specific needs. This position's working hours are primarily day time Monday - Friday, however some weekend and after hours work is required when necessary. The pay range for this role is $22-$28/hr depending on level of relevant electrical experience.
What You Will Do:
- Respond to and address machine maintenance requests
- Ensure proper labeling and upkeep of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Provide suggestions for equipment upgrades or redesigns
- Plan and schedule routine maintenance for machines
- Organize and maintain maintenance tools
- Develop a cycle time plan to manage repairs and maintenance efficiently
- Train other employees on the operation and capabilities of machines
- Maintain organized machine manuals and related documentation
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Coordinate with external vendors for the upkeep of specialized machines or vehicles
- Offer support to the Facility Specialist or other departments as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Electrician certification or relevant electrical experience is necessary
- Willingness to work outside of regular hours when needed
- Physical ability to squat, bend, lift, and carry weights between 5-15 lbs, with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
