Join us and play an important part on our incredible team! What you get to do: Serve as an expert performer for various performing roles, including performing as a Pearl Dive Performer. Perform regularly in costume in assigned area adhering to set and/or show schedule Openly accept performance feedback and critique, and adapt accordingly to maintain a high standard of performance Perform duties of an expert character escort, which include: facilitating interaction and communication between character and guests, providing directions and park information, and entertaining guests Assist character ambassadors with getting in and out of assigned costume Provide solution-based ideas to solve problems Support the team’s daily activities Execute backstage tasks as outlined in daily schedule Assist Costuming team with laundry and maintenance projects as needed Ensure adherence to safety and procedural directions that accompany this position Perform other duties as assigned What it takes to succeed: Performer with the ability to swim and dive with athletic build. Personable and animated with a fun, outgoing personality Ability to openly accept performance feedback/critiques and adapt accordingly Ability to work in indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions and temperature while performing. Demonstrated strong costume and escorting skills Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds Availability to work varying shifts and hours based on business needs; available to work opening, mid, closing, nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as after hour rehearsals Ability to move and dance in full costume at a standard consistent with creative intent Ability to maintain character integrity Willingness to participate in regular internal performance assessments Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed Perform the following physical activities, kneeling, bending, squatting, jumping, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing) Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes. Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals What else is important: All Applicants must pass the following swim test in order to be considered for this role. Swim Test: · Swim 100 yards any stroke without the aid of a buoyance system · Tread water 10 min · Swim underwater 10 yards on one breath · Touch and retrieve weight from a depth of the pool they will be free diving in · Demonstrate towing another person a distance of 25 yards. Audition Date: Wednesday, August 9th, 2023 7:00 am-9:00 am Meet at SeaWorld Gate 1 (7007 SeaWorld Drive Orlando, FL 32821) for audition. Applicants must wear their own bathing suit and bring their own towel and swim goggles if preferred.
