SeaBear Smokehouse is currently looking for individuals to join our Production Staff. We have multiple positions within our production department and our staff will be cross trained into multiple positions.
Our Production Staff is responsible for the day-to-day work, producing products, in the fillet, trim and mousse rooms, inspection and retort areas of the Anacortes, WA facility.
Duties and Responsibilities
Filleting
Brining / Curing
Smoke Room
Portioning, Pouching, Mixing
Loading / Unloaded product
Inspection
Sanitation
Physical Demands
Frequent walking
Continuous standing up 2-hour periods at a time
Continuous movement / lifting with both arms up to 20 lbs.
Occasional movement / lifting with both arms up to 30 lbs.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance
Full range of motion for frequent pushing, pulling, twisting, stooping, reaching, grasping and repetitive movements
Stability to stand and walk on wet production floors
Fine finger & manual dexterity using both hands in order to cut, inspect, scoop, and manually move or place product
Exertion of force on and against product for process flow
Work Environment
Facility environment with temperatures ranging from -18ºF to 80ºF
Wet and dry surfaces.
Pay and Benefits :
Starting pay at $18.25 / hr, with an increase to $18.85 / hr after 90 day orientation period
Shift : 6am - 430pm, Mon -Thursday, with overtime during busy season
Eligible for health, dental, vision, 401k after initial employment requirements are met.
