Seaboard Corporation, a Fortune 500 diversified and vertically integrated agribusiness and ocean transportation company, currently has an opening for an International SR Tax Analyst. As the International SR Tax Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in Seaboard's U.S. federal international tax compliance and planning. This position is located in Merriam, Kansas with the ability to work a hybrid schedule.
The International SR Tax Analyst will work as part of our global tax team responsible for U.S. federal and state tax compliance, audits, and provisions (ASC 740), as well as tax modeling and planning. The role is focused on U.S. international federal tax compliance, provision, and planning; however, the role will also assist our foreign subsidiaries with ASC 740 reporting. This position reports to the International SR Tax Manager.
This role will have involvement in communication with Treasury, Finance, Legal, Accounting, and other leaders in Seaboard's global operations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Prepare various in-house U.S. federal tax compliance activities for more than two hundred (200) entities annually, including review and preparation of Forms 1118 / 5471 / 8858 / 8865 / 8975, foreign tax credit calculations, E&P tax pools, and Section 861 expense allocation.
- Review quarterly and year-end ASC 740 financial reporting schedules, reconcile and review deferred tax schedules.
- Assist with research of tax technical issues as they arise in the ordinary course of business or are identified during the development of tax planning alternatives and perform other tax research as needed.
- Prepare fixed asset classification and depreciation for foreign entities.
- Prepare local country tax filings and statutory compliance for a select number of foreign entities.
- Assist with U.S. transfer pricing reporting requirements through coordination with outside consultants.
- Assist in gathering supporting documentation in response to the inquiries from external auditors during financial audits.
- Assist in transaction planning and structure for new investments, including due diligence procedures.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Trusted resource for International Tax Sr Manager regarding various international tax laws, positions, and audits.
- Stay current on global tax law changes and developments.
- Assist with the implementation of Pillar Two.
