Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administers Welfare and Retirement Plans.
- Manages benefit issues log for accurate and timely information.
- Leads leave of absence administration and serves as SME on related policies and regulations.
- Facilitates annual open enrollment process.
- Maintains benefit systems, including routine functions, training, troubleshooting, etc.
- Evaluates current processes to identify opportunities for improvement and documents all procedures.
- Ensures benefit practices align with plan documents and comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Prepares data and reports for testing, claims analysis, data transmissions, etc.
- Conducts accurate and consistent benefit audits.
- Processes domestic benefit billings and payment reconciliations.
- Liaises with third-party administrators, division HR teams, and others.
- Coordinates HIPAA and other training programs and maintains related records.
- Works with HR Specialist to conduct new hire orientations.
- Researches and coordinates wellness initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum five years of job-related professional experience is required.
- Substantial experience with benefit systems and integrations is required.
- Strong skills in Excel are required.
- CEBS certification is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, and resourceful.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- A self-starter and motivated team player.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex topics effectively.
- Extremely professional and courteous with ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
