What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Agent Clerk position at Seaboard Energy?
The Purchasing Agent Clerk is responsible for processing daily operating purchase orders, receivers, invoices and along with other purchasing administrative tasks for the plant.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process requisitions for plant materials, supplies, and parts.
- Receive & Process invoices from Energy.AP email for timely payment.
- Reconciling vendor statements.
- Assist in managing relationships with reliable vendors & suppliers. Review new vendor information for accuracy before being set up.
- Maintain tracking spreadsheets for local vendors.
- Assist with monthly UBI & Tax reporting for accounting.
- Maintain electronic filing of purchasing documents.
- Any additional responsibilities assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2 - 3 years' general office experience preferred.
- Strong customer service skills in person and over the phone with both internal and external customers are required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers.
- solve practical problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work environment varies from an office, Plant production and outside climate conditions, based on the situation. The noise level varies depending on which production area the employee is working in.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, working hours to be determined. Occasionally extended hours or changes in schedule will be required as special circumstances arise.
