The Technical Architect provides overall technical guidance based on a broad understanding of the business needs, current solutions, technology strategies, IT standards, and security requirements. Works collaboratively to define solutions aligned across the architecture disciplines and governs their development. Develops strategies, roadmaps, principles, standards, and best practices. This position acts as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor, innovator, and change agent.

Responsibilities
- Create multi-year IT architecture strategy and roadmap that is in line with the overall business strategy.
- Provide leadership while working collaboratively to document technical needs.
- Create current and future state technology diagrams that effectively align stakeholders and ensure that solutions are aligned across architecture disciplines.
- Govern development of solutions.
- Develop reference architectures, standards, and best practices.
- Maintain catalogs of key IT assets.
- Perform complex architectural assessments independently.
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and recommend improvements.
- Work on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Encourage team interaction, boost employee motivation, and appreciate team contribution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5 years in an IT technical engineering role
- Exposure to technology strategies and roadmaps
- Exposure to architectural standardization and governance processes
- Exposure to software development methodologies (i.e., Agile, Waterfall)
- Familiarity with diverse technologies (Cloud/SaaS/On-premise, OS Virtualization, Windows/Linux, Network Technologies, WAF, Load Balancing, Vendor Access, SEIM, OT Segmentation, DR, Backups, Databases, Web Servers, Integration Tools, Security Technologies, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively leveraging common tools (PowerPoint, Viso, and Excel)
- Known reputation for integrity and ethics
- Experience in one or more of the following is a plus: Manufacturing, Food and Beverage, Livestock, Transportation, Energy preferred
