We have an exciting Driver Manager opportunity in Seaboard Transport Inc. at our Merriam, KS office. The Driver Manager is responsible for the evaluation of company drivers and owner-operator drivers to ensure needs are met while maintaining a high level of customer service and on-time delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maximize truck utilization and reduce driver turnover.
- Responsible for gathering, evaluating and reporting information as needed. Evaluates and makes recommendations for reequipment requirements.
- Communicate with vehicle maintenance manager and personnel on specific tractor or trailer equipment maintenance and repair as needed.
- Communicates and monitors performance on all loads with drivers, manages drivers home time.
- Communicates between customer and driver ensuring the successful handoff or pickup of product

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- High School or GED.
- 5 years of relevant experience in transportation operations including dispatch and customer service experience.
- Highly organized and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
- Experience with TMS software.
- PowerPro
- PeopleNet
SCHEDULE
- The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekly on-call rotation and overnight travel as requested.
