Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities on the Production Floor, Value Added Floor, and Shipping areas to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Develop, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Monitor and troubleshoot equipment and facility issues, ensuring swift and effective resolution to reduce production interruptions.
- Identify root causes of operational downtime and implement process improvements to mitigate risks and enhance productivity.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects, utilizing lean maintenance methodologies and best practices.
- Implement and standardize practices aimed at waste reduction, cost efficiency, and performance optimization.
- Plan, develop, and manage the facility’s maintenance budget in collaboration with the Director of Maintenance.
- Track, report, and analyze budget expenditures while ensuring fiscal responsibility within operational targets.
- Supervise and mentor maintenance team members, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Schedule and coordinate regular training sessions to keep the team updated on the latest maintenance technologies and practices.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company standards, industry best practices, and legal/regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing strict adherence to health and safety procedures.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and logistics, to address maintenance challenges.
- Provide regular performance reports, highlighting improvements, challenges, and areas for further development.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Facilities Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance management, preferably within a manufacturing or food processing environment.
- Strong understanding of equipment maintenance, industrial machinery, and production systems.
- Proficiency in CMMS and ERP software.
- Budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and people development capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in a pork processing or food production facility.
- Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related methodologies.
- Proven track record in implementing cost-saving initiatives and improving maintenance operations.
