Job Description:
The Feed Mill Operator will plan, build, assist, and coordinate animal movement schedules for animal operations teams.
This includes dispatching market haul trucks, drivers, and loadout crew members to move animals efficiently to plant operations.
The Feed Mill Operator will learn the material process flow of the entire feed mill, including receiving, grinding, batching, pelleting, and loadout.
Cross-training in all areas of production/maintenance at the feed mill and proficiency in all areas of plant automation are also required.
The Feed Mill Operator must manage and plan production needs for each area of operation.
They must perform all job duties in a manner consistent with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) protocols.
The Feed Mill Operator must process necessary paperwork and be proficient in computer skills as needed.
They must follow procedures established to ensure proper material flow.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and plan production needs for each area of operation

- Cross-train in all areas of production/maintenance at the feed mill
Requirements:
- Analytically minded and willing to learn new computer systems
- Ability to work after-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested
