As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in achieving this goal. You will oversee the daily operations of the swine farm, ensuring the health and well-being of the animals. This includes maintaining high herd health, adhering to biosecurity protocols, and providing proper feeding and care.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring all standard operating procedures are being followed and facilities are in good working condition. You will also maintain accurate records and reports of animals, employees, and supplies on the farm, and assist in ensuring that all weekly and daily reports are turned in timely and accurately. Additionally, you will adhere to all safety procedures and follow assigned medication and vaccination protocols for the farm.
To be successful in this role, you must possess strong communication skills, be action-oriented, and ensure accountability. You should have an associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in the English language, reading and writing is also required.
