We have an exciting Senior Director of Engineering and Facility Maintenance opportunity in our Guymon, Oklahoma processing facility. In this highly impactful role, you will be a key member of the senior management team as well as directing a team of highly skilled technicians. This position is responsible for the strategic oversight and leadership required to operate and maintain a 900,000 square-foot animal protein production facility, which includes a 300,000-pound ammonia system, 600-million-gallon wastewater treatment facility, rendering and steam generation operation, twelve (12) million-pound distribution center, axis robotic and automation systems. Directs a team of 150 engineering and maintenance technicians and specialists with eight (8)) direct reports to ensure the facility adheres to all food safety and workplace safety regulations, policies, and standards. Leads and supervises capital expenditures, projects, and facility expansions while maintaining production efficiencies within budgetary parameters—driving continuous improvement within the organization.

Responsibilities
- Manages capital expenditures of $15-$20M annually. Uses expertise in project management to achieve results that are on time, within budget, and meet the defined quality parameters.
- Delegates tasks to and inspires a team of 150 engineering and maintenance technicians and specialists with six (6) direct reports to anticipate technical problems and solve them quickly.
- Responsible for aligning technology and innovation to the business strategy, providing feasible and realistic options.
- Uses data analytics to monitor systems and processes and make projections while providing solutions and options to manage the facility sustainably and efficiently.
- Acts as the facility expert responsible for generating all required information to support appropriations requests (ARs).
- Acts as the facility expert to interpret technical instructions with abstract and concrete variables.
- Collaborates with all stakeholders to ensure success with all initiatives. Understands the role of business ethics in building professional relationships with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure successful expectations, negotiations, and outcomes.
- Propose and introduce new equipment, automation, and process design options within the facility to maximize production and labor efficiencies while improving product quality.
- Understands and knows all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) and Environmental Protection Agency. Ensures program execution and compliance in all areas.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Minimum of 10 to 15 years of maintenance and engineering experience in a fresh protein (harvest) facility required
- Wide and deep management experience of 10 to 15 years with demonstrated leadership and people development skills required.
- Experience interpreting strategy and policy to set and deliver objectives within medium to long timeframes.
- Strong electrical background (PLC, instrumentation, industrial electrical experience) preferred.
