YOUR OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting Sow Farm Supervisor opportunity in Hawarden, IA. In this highly impactful role, you will be a key member of the leadership team. The Sow Farm Supervisor will plan, direct, and coordinate day-to-day farm activities and staff to ensure all daily and weekly production targets are met. You will have a range of 2,500-3,000 in animal inventory, with up to 7 direct reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Training of employees on day-to-day processes and procedures and developing a competent workforce by utilizing hands-on training methods.
- Creating and managing employee work schedules and maintaining accurate personnel paperwork, including performance evaluations and providing constructive and timely feedback to employees.
- Performing audits of the farm to ensure all standard operating procedures are being followed and facilities are in good working condition.
- Ensuring that all daily and weekly production targets are met, as well as completing and submitting production analysis reports in a timely manner.
- The care and conditioning of sows on the farm.
- Submitting orders for farm supplies and maintenance needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

- 1-2 years of swine experience.
- 6 months leadership experience.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Must be proficient in the English language, reading and writing.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
SCHEDULE
The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management.
