Job Summary

Seabrook, a vibrant coastal community in Washington, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will support project managers in all phases of construction, from pre-construction to project closeout, while contributing to the development of Seabrook’s commercial and residential projects. This full-time, onsite role involves managing budgets, schedules, and project documentation, while coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Job Duties And Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Assist the project manager and VP of Construction in all phases of project execution, from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, estimates, and purchase orders.
  • Maintain and organize project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and as-built drawings.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project flow.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure safety and quality compliance.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting minutes and progress reports.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with project closeouts.
  • Support the procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and Bluebeam Revu required.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in project engineering or assistant project management within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Valid State-issued driver’s license, state minimum insurance, and clean driving record required.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work full-time onsite in Seabrook, WA. This is not a full-time position.
  • All candidates must pass a background check prior to employment.

Physical Requirements

  • Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, and walk moderate distances frequently.
  • Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine.
  • Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, drawings, and schematics.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Comfort working at heights and in confined spaces.

Employment Status: Full-Time

Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000
