- 2nd Shift Part-Time: every weekend; 3:00pm-11:00pm
Salary Range:$17.00 To 19.00 Hourly
Our Campus Safety team is responsible for the safety and security of all people and property at Seabury. They are the first to respond to a call for assistance and provide calm and supportive help whenever needed. Ideal candidates will deliver outstanding customer service, have strong communication skills and sensitivity to older adults. Valid CT driver’s license required. Minimum of 1 years’ experience in security or public emergency services is preferred. Rates begin at $17-$19 per hour with additional shift and weekend differentials.
Shift Differentials:
2nd shift: $0.50/hr
Weekends: $1.00/hr
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gives direction to guards across all shifts.
- Involved in the creation and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Must be able and willing to work variable shifts as needed and occasional overtime and weekends as weather, emergency or staffing situations may require.
- Completes patrols of the building/facility, keeping an eye on building lighting and overall facility appearance and operation. Creates Work Orders for identified issues and brings security concerns to management.
- Monitors surveillance cameras
- Must be willing to learn and become proficient in the Access control systems to create badges and troubleshoot problems with various locks.
- Must be willing to learn and become proficient and the fire alarm system.
- Must be willing to learn and become proficient in the Emergency Pendant/Door Flag system
- Assist in running campus Fire or Disaster Drills.
- Performs general repairs that do not require specialized qualifications.
- Cleans and assists with upkeep of storage, records, furniture, and equipment.
- Provides escort to locations within the building or directs emergency personnel to identified doors.
- Complete Monthly Extinguisher and Fire safety checks throughout campus.
- Participates in special projects as needed.
- Oversee Security meal charges.
- Assist the VP of Engineering & COO as needed.
- Assist with the development of monthly schedules and staffing for call outs.
- Performs inspections of mechanical rooms and storage spaces.
- Ensure all Incident Reports and First Reports of Injury are submitted correctly and in a timely manner.
- Ensure all staff trainings are up to date and complete.
Required:
· High School diploma
· CPR/First Aid/AED training or ability to complete such trainings
· Valid motor vehicle operator’s license
