What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recruiter position at Seabury?
The Recruiter will provide full life-cycle recruiting support to members of the Extended Leadership Team of Seabury by coordinating recruiting activities for assigned openings. This includes candidate sourcing, advertising, interviewing, and selection of best possible candidates for Seabury. This position will also support the Human Resources team in creating and delivering “Best in Class” recruiting strategies and participate in facilitating bi-weekly orientation for our new hires.
Schedule is flexible! To start off, this position would be temporary part-time hours to cover a leave of absence from May-July, working 20 hours per week. Hours can be flexible between 8:00am-5:00pm. There is potential for this to become a long-term opportunity to support the HR team on a per diem basis.
Experience and skills required:
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources /Organizational Psych or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 1 year recruiting experience required.
- Experience in healthcare recruitment highly desirable. Interest in recruitment focused on non-exempt positions, including nursing, c.n.a, dietary/culinary, housekeeping etc...
- Proven recruitment and selection skills – expertise in candidate sourcing and tracking.
- Knowledge of HR Law and practice, especially as it relates to the recruiting and selection processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of ADP WorkforceNow© modules including Recruiting and On-Boarding.
- Ability to deal with sensitive HR issues with tact, sensitivity and discretion.
- Ability to gain credibility with management.
- Strength in process documentation and process management.
- Strong computer skills – complete competence in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HRIS systems.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the hiring process for Seabury by working with departmental hiring managers to manage the process; define and hire to competencies, etc.
- Assumes the lead on assigned open positions and continues as an active participant throughout the hire process – from sourcing to offer, one point of contact for applicants to maximize the candidate experience.
- Research and pursue new recruitment sources for the best candidates such as internet sourcing, establishing and maintaining relationships with area schools, job placement programs, etc.
- Follows-up with all new hires and managers before the end of probation to aide in retention efforts and ascertain employee satisfaction.
- Refers any employee relations issues to Vice President, Human Resources on issues of disciplinary action, performance coaching, etc.
- Assist with coordinate of New Employee Orientation Program, including ability to share in the responsibility of delivering same.
- Manage or contribute to special projects as assigned.
