Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at SeaCa Plastic Packaging LLC. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery to ensure optimal production efficiency. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our commitment to quality and operational excellence. This is a position in a manufacturing environment. Candidates with strong troubleshooting skills are encouraged to apply. The maintenance department is an essential part of production, flexible schedule is reqired for this role.
Shifts:
Sun - Tues/Weds 6am - 6pm or 6pm - 6am
Weds/Thurs - Sat 6am - 6pm or 6pm - 6am
Responsibilities
- Understands and follows all safety rules and regulations.
- Thoroughly understands Lockout/Tagout and how to stop all energy sources.
- Performs all aspects of mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
- Keeps accurate and complete records of all maintenance performed.
- Performs maintenance procedures as recommended by the machine manufacturer.
- Recommends machinery and/or parts to be purchased.
- Responsible for completing work orders as assigned.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hydraulics, pneumatic, and other mechanical equipment.
- Learn a complex series of machine settings that have interrelated outcomes as they are being changed.
- Work in a team environment and follow direction.
- Adapt to a changing workplace schedule that requires a 24 hour and 7-day operating schedule.
- Performs similar duties as required.
- Ensures work area is clean and organized.
- Adheres to all Company rules and regulations outlined in the Employee Handbook and elsewhere.
- Responsible for not leaving job/plant premises when known problem exists without ensuring corrective action is in place.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production machinery and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency and safety standards.
Requirements
- Five or more years of technical training
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Ability to operate gas torches, welders, and power tools
- Ability to multi-task
- Must understand OSHA standards
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Advanced technical or college training preferred
- Writing and mathematical skills
Preferred Experience
- Machine Electrical Troubleshooting: 1 year (Required)
- Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Required)
- Technical Training: 5 years (Required)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to handle fast pace and high stress environment
- Ability to withstand dusty, hot, cold, humid, windy, and noisy conditions
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and push/pull at least 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel or stoop for extended periods of time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
