Currently, Seattle-Tacoma Box Company and subsidiaries support assembly and production operations and warehouses in Washington, Alaska, Oregon, California, New Hampshire, and Arizona. SeaCa Plastic Packaging, LLC is an industry pioneer in the production of plastic corrugated products used throughout the food industry.
SeaCa Plastic Packaging's Maintenance Department is looking to add an experienced and dedicated Parts Associate to our team at our Surprise, AZ location. The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who excels working in a demanding and fast paced environment and demonstrates excellent prioritization, decision making and time management skills.
Job Summary:
The Parts Associate will be responsible for maintaining detailed inventory records, conducting parts purchasing, the accurate and timely return of warranty parts. The prats associate will possess the ability to navigate inventory computer system(s).
Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
o Update and maintain inventory records, including accurate records of all orders and stock levels.
o Sort and stock all parts, tools, and consumables.
o Purchase equipment parts or supplies to maintain stock levels.
o Maintain documentation of requisitions and inventory records.
o Monitor and verify the shipment and delivery of ordered parts.
o Inspect all incoming products for proper condition, product, and quantities compared with shipping tickets/orders.
- Preventive Maintenance:
o Maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
o Assist with creating, modifying, and maintaining purchase orders in the ERP system.
o Research vendor documentation and equipment lists for part numbers and cross-reference part substitutions.
- Collaboration and Assistance:
o Communicate with coworkers and vendors professionally.
o Assist all departments in locating proper parts for assigned tasks.
o Assist the Maintenance Manager with record-keeping and scheduling tasks, including inventory levels, parts acquisition and consumption, MRO, PMRO, vendor pick-up and deliveries.
o Housekeeping and organization of the stock area.
- Safety Procedures:
o Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures.
Safety Duties/Responsibilities
- Near Miss Program: Assist in tracking open near misses with work order status, submitting work orders, and tracking them via spreadsheets. Communicate issues with the Corporate Safety Director.
- Fire Extinguisher Sign-off/Audit: Audit and sign off on all fire extinguishers in the building once a month.
- Inventory of Safety Equipment: Maintain inventory and scheduling for PPE and first aid supplies.
- Preventative Maintenance for Safety Equipment: Schedule preventive maintenance and repairs for forklifts in the building.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Comprehensive understanding of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Must follow safety policies and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adhere to deadlines in a high-demand environment.
- Good communication skills with staff, co-workers, and direct support.
- Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 or more years previous experience with inventory control, purchasing or parts procurement
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to handle high stress environment.
- Ability to withstand dusty and noisy conditions.
- Ability to lift 50-80 lbs., push/pull 100 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time
