Unitizer Operator

SeaCa Plastic Packaging, LLC is an industry pioneer in the production of plastic corrugated products used throughout the food industry.

SeaCa Plastic Packaging is looking to add an experienced and dedicated Forklift Driver/Unitizer to our team at our Surprise, AZ location. The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who excels working in a demanding and fast paced environment and demonstrates excellent prioritization, decision making and time management skills.

Job Summary:

The Unitizer operator will be responsible for the safe and accurate movement of product throughout the plant as well as loading and unloading trucks. This position will call for operating a pallet banding machine, also known as a Signode strapping machine (Unitizer). Persons occupying this position are expected to exercise good judgment in all operations. Forklift certification is a plus.

Schedule:

C Shift: Weds/Thurs - Sat 7:00am - 7:00pm

Responsibilities

• To unload exit conveyor line
• Maintains daily forklift inspections
• Keeps forklift free of dust and sanitized
• Report damaged product and/or shortages to supervisor
• Scanning product into inventory
• Dumps garbage dumpsters
• Assist other forklift operators, as necessary. (Loading and unloading of trucks. Spreading tarps)
• Supply pallets to the pallet inserter
• Other duties as assigned
• Keeps area clean and organized, inside and outside in the yard
• Performs similar job duties as required
• Filling in for main Unitizer operator during breaks lunches

Work experience requirements

• Two or more years’ experience with forklift operation
• Experience with uneven/difficult forklift operation
• Able to work under pressure and meet time deadlines

Education requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Writing, mathematical skills, and a basic mechanical understanding
• Valid State Driver License

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to handle high stress environment.
• Ability to withstand dusty and noisy conditions.
• Ability to lift 50-80 lbs., push/pull 100 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time
