The Warehouse and Distribution Manager is responsible for all aspects of SeaChange’s multi-site inventory, fulfillment, shipping and logistics, and on-time delivery processes. The Warehouse and Distribution Manager will lead all people aspects including but not limited to hiring, training, coaching, and development of the Shipping and Receiving Department.
Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Guide and lead all aspects of day-to-day multi-site warehouse and fulfillment operations to uphold exceptional levels of accuracy, safety, and team performance.
- Drive team performance to improve on-time delivery, reduce ship errors, and improve ship team efficiency.
- Create, document, and deploy internal processes to maximize team productivity for fulfillment, inventory, and shipping.
- Lead, coach, and provide feedback on the inventory, fulfillment, mailing, shipping and logistics, and on-time delivery processes to drive operational excellence and consistent practices and standards across the team.
- Effectively communicates strategies, results and metrics to the leadership team. Identifies process improvements and works closely with cross-functional teams to make necessary adjustments.
- Develop contract strategies and effectively negotiate with key suppliers.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and implement cost, capacity, service, and sustainability objectives.
- Effectively and independently identify solutions for future mergers and acquisitions including but not limited to ideal landscape for transportation of new product, SOP management, and inventory management of all new merchandise.
- Develop, train, sustain and continually improve inventory management processes, assuring appropriate levels available, fulfilling WIP & Raw materials to equipment with accurate reporting for weekly and monthly planning
- Develop, train, sustain and continually improve fulfillment processes, assuring accurate storage, pick and pack, levels available with accurate reporting for weekly and monthly planning
- Develop, train, sustain and continually improve shipping and logistics processes, Stretch-wrapping and labeling skids, packaging smaller items for UPS / FedEx / Courier as needed, scheduling common carriers for pickup (LTL and courier), Routing Deliveries on company Truck, Preparation of all Bills of Lading; delivery receipts and packing slips.
- Develop, train, sustain and continually improve receiving processes to verify counts, descriptions and condition on incoming shipments and match packing slips; delivery to appropriate department, people or warehouse placement as appropriate.
- Knowing, training enforcing and following all safety rules. Complete Daily Forklift Inspections and logs, training for fork lifts, pallet jacks and warehouse best practices for safe storage
- Prioritize workload based on delivery requirements, labor and company needs by assigning task to department employees and supporting when needed
- Managing and meeting our on-time delivery goals by actively participating in production meetings and communicating expectations to team members along with reporting to management and CSR team.
- Establishing and performing Quality Control checks emphasizing accuracy
- Creating department budgets and reporting performance
- Continual training and personal development to learn new processes for increased efficiencies and able to recommend methods for improvement
- Responsible for overall general housekeeping in shipping and receiving areas
- Other duties as assigned

Thank you for your interest in growing your career at SeaChange. The salary range for the Warehouse and Distribution Manager is $75,000 - $85,000 per year, Exempt. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, and experience.
