JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing routine cash posting accounting activities for client accounts. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Download bank reports, verify remittance with payments and post to associated invoices according to SBF processes and procedures.
- Research and adjust check and/or cash posting errors.
- Prepare daily reconciliation and cash balancing reports as required.
- Report any bank discrepancies to SBF Cash Application/Data Supervisor.
- Respond to internal and external clients regarding cash posting as directed by SBF Operations team.
- Act as SBF’s backup for data entry of client fundings via Seacoast Bank on-line banking portal.
- Utilize industry specific software (Factorsoft), Microsoft Office and Seacoast Bank on-line banking portals to perform daily tasks.
- Adheres to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Accounting/Finance preferred.
- 0-2 years: Zero plus years’ experience in a clerical accounting or bookkeeping position with 6 months experience in data entry or a position requiring arithmetic computation; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
