What are the responsibilities and job description for the Children's Ministry Director, Mount Pleasant Campus position at Seacoast Church?
This position reports to: Director of Seacoast Kidscoast Ministry
The mission: Seacoast Church goes all out in our mission to help others Find God, Grow your Faith, Discover your Purpose, and Make a Difference. Our MTP Campus Kidscoast Pastor/Director is passionate about connecting Children Birth 5th Grade, to Jesus and casting a vision for the department that aligns with Seacoast and NEXT GEN mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion the Vision of Seacoast Church and Kidscoast Ministry.
- Lead, care for and develop the Kidscoast staff, leaders, and children at the campus level, as well as the Lil Coasters and Childcare Manager.
- Provide ministry oversight at all campus Kidscoast services and activities.
- Provide weekly oversight with those you directly manage. (Staff mtgs, reviews, etc.)
- Additional duties and responsibilities as required on the Campus Team.
- Dream Team
- Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, training and retention of leaders.
- Responsible for ensuring the integrity of all Kidscoast policies, procedures and processes in all Kidscoast environments.
- Training Kidscoast staff to multiply leaders and hold them accountable to accomplish their quarterly goals.
- Partner with parents
- Connect, communicate regularly (Facebook & emails), counsel as needs arise, and effectively follow up with milestone and ministry indications
- Develop programs for whole-family discipleship.
- Children
- Oversee leadership of children's milestones (child dedication, salvation, baptism).
- Bring additional structure to the spiritual development of children through small groups (where appropriate), weekend services, First Wednesday services and Kids Camp
- Dream Team
- Responsible for the organization and running of Kidscoast at MTP campus.
- Implement the overall vision and purpose of small groups in age-appropriate environments.
- Ensure that each Kidscoast Ministry Leader has a personal spiritual growth plan and a clearly outlined leadership track, meeting at least twice a month
- Implement safe and nurturing environment for nursery and preschool setting, thinking through each week creatively and purposefully to prepare for an effective encounter with God.
- Participate in message planning meetings.
- Support the Central Kidscoast Manager with Kids Camp
- Day to Day Responsibilities
- Interoffice communication: inform staff and campus of all Kidscoast happenings, requests, responsibilities and details managed.
- Calendar: oversee campus Kidscoast calendar and communication.
- Manage campus budget for the Kidscoast as well as keep detailed records.
- Reconcile monthly credit card statements properly coding each purchase.
Job Essentials:
- Christ Follower (Seacoast Church makes hiring decisions aligned to our religious faith and beliefs
- At least 2-5 years of ministry experience
- A calling to genuinely care for and love the children in the church and helping them to grow in their faith of Jesus at any age.
- Making spiritual health a priority; taking a Sabbath every week, lead and participate in a small group, attend an entire service weekly, regular communication with a mentor or pastor, read the Word to connect with God, and serve in your community.
- Excellent public communicator with the ability to develop volunteer leaders, delegate, and achieve results.
- Live and drive Seacoast cultural values to Love God. Love People. Make it Better. And Have a Good Attitude.
