What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Associate - Housekeeping position at Seacoast Church?
Hours per week: Full-time, 40 hours
This position reports to: Director of Facilities
The mission: Seacoast Church goes all out in our mission to help others “Find God, Grow your Faith, Discover your Purpose, and Make a Difference." Its not magic that makes our church clean and ready to go day in and day out, its our Facilities Team! Our Facilities team work hard behind the scenes to prepare our church facilities to host guests during the Weekend Experience, weekly meeting located on site, and special events and conferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Heart to Serve
- Prepare building for the Weekend Experience, week day ministry events and other hosted meetings, and special conferences and church events
- Ensure scheduled areas are set/cleared for building use as assigned
- Ensure all scheduled event areas are in excellent, clean condition
- Set up venue per event request and ensure all resources are set up as requested; tables, chairs, trash cans, and special props
- Provide essential maintenance services for the church grounds and buildings
- Including but not limited to: changing light bulbs, changing filters, and other routine maintenance items
- Provide janitorial services as needed
- Provide grounds clean up as required; mowing, landscaping, grounds upkeep, etc.
- Perform spot cleaning or remedial repairs if needed
- Under direction of the Facilities Supervisor, ensure all set up and tear down for all rooms and facilities are completed accurately and promptly
- Follow procedures and checklists to ensure proper security, lighting, and equipment control

- Ability to lift 40 pounds on consistent basis
- Self-starter with ability to work in a team environment and without direct supervision
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including opening or closing shifts
- High level of proficiency with housekeeping functions
