What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Nurse position at Seacoast Classical Academy Chartered Public School?

The Hillsdale College K-12 Curriculum is the curriculum of Seacoast Classical Academy, serving grades K-9 (scaling to K-12 in three more years).
Preferred Qualifications we would like our School Nurse to possess are:
● Understands and is committed to the Vision, Mission, and Virtues of the Academy
● An organized, well-rounded, engaging individual with the ability to interact joyfully with scholars, families, and colleagues
● Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
● Current LPN, RN, or ARNP licensure by the State of New Hampshire
● Current certification in CPR and First Aid
● Experience in pediatric care
● Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a school setting; NH certification as School Nurse
Responsibilities of the school nurse
● Provide health services to scholars and promote health, while upholding family rights and all applicable laws.
● Provide nursing care to ill or injured scholars.
● Carry out all required information collection, record keeping, and reporting, while maintaining confidentiality.
● Administer medications as prescribed.
● To scholars and staff provide First Aid and CPR and monitor vital signs as needed.
● Collaborate in maintaining safety and security.
● Provide health education as assigned.
● Assist the Guidance Counselor to promote a positive learning environment for all scholars, while managing scholar conduct eff ectively.
● Contribute to scholar-related operations, for example, monitoring recess.
● Participate in professional development.
● Perform other duties before, during, or after school, as assigned by the Principal.
