Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary : SEACORP is currently seeking a Configuration Management Specialist for the Surface and Undersea Technology Integration Business Area. The Configuration Management Specialist shall be responsible for maintaining and controlling documentation, product releases, and software configuration management. Individual shall also work closely with the engineering and project management in defining and implementing procedures and plans for change management, and product configuration management guidance.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Education: Bachelor's Degree.
Experience : 3 years of relevant experience.
As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship
Location: Middletown, RI
Travel: Infrequently (<3 annually)
Clearance: Secret
Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.

Job Responsibilities Include:
- Confers with engineers or customers to establish change-reporting procedure and prepares directives for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor personnel.
- Create and maintain documentation for tools used to support configuration management.
- Identify errors in the design development and release process; recommend improvements.
- Analyze proposed design changes to prepare report of effect on overall product for management action, using knowledge of engineering, manufacturing, and procurement activities.
- Audit technical documents preparation procedure to verify compliance with contract requirements.
- Coordinates activities of personnel preparing manual or automated records of part-design change documents and first-article configuration inspection.
- Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall system configuration (i.e. parts lists,
- Hardware/Software versions, proper reference documents like technical manuals and ship systems manuals, and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs)), and coordinates recording of modifications for management control.
