Requirements

A licensed practical nurse (LPN) provides care and treatment per physician orders, working under the direction of physicians and RNs. Responsibilities include:
- Assessing patients and administering medications.
- Participating in care planning.
- Supervising LPNs and nursing assistants.
- Communicating with physicians about resident conditions.
- Documenting care in compliance with standards.
- Educating patients and families.
- Knowledge of computer systems and nursing practices.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Valid State LPN license and CPR certification.
- One year of long-term care experience preferred.
