What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customs Entry Writer position at SEAFRIGO?
This person will ensure that the shipments adhere to customer’s regulations, track shipments and work with clients on reducing duties owed. Hour’s operation Monday – Friday, 8am -5pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Typical tasks performed include a combination of the following
· Follow all Customs Regulations as per CFR19
· File ISF, Customs Declarations and all applicable PGA’s.
· Executing delivery orders when applicable, assuring delivery of cargo when needed, communicating all phases of our services to customers, vendors and internally.
· Bill all applicable files on time
· Performs other related duties as required and requested
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Flexibility with hours, able to alternate schedules with managers
· Ability to effectively communicate with customers
· Ability to communicate effectively verbally and via email
· Dependable and reliable
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment
· Cargowise Experience a plus
Education/Experience:
· High school diploma or GED certificate.
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in filing Customs Entries.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
· Fluency in oral and written English
